Aiden is 7lbs 6oz, 19.5 inches. He is on .5L O2 flow and is able to attempt a bottle at every feed. The only med he is on is for blood pressure and I forgot the name of it. Next eye exam is end of January.
Jackson is 8lbs, 19 inches. He is on .5L O2 flow and has been attempting a bottle at every feed. The only med he is on is to regulate his high blood pressure. Jackson's blood pressure still is not under control and remains high. The only thing that can be done is to adjust the meds until the right dose brings it to where it should be. He had an echo yesterday and it showed very, very slight enlargement in the left ventricle, something they were trying to prevent with the meds. His next eye exam was suppose to be yesterday, but doc was under the weather, so hopefully tomorrow.
The .5L O2 is a level that they can come home on. Part of me wants them home on O2 and part of me does not. The positive about it, aside from the fact that they would need it, is that we also get apnea montiors that montior heart rate and respirations, so we don't have to keep waking up in the middle of the night to see if they are still breathing.
Now for some pictures:
Both boys together for the first time today!
Above 5 are Aiden
Above 4 are Jackson
